Introduction To Our SendMail Service

Most websites supply a facility for user's to contact the website owners, this is called a 'web-form'. A web form contains text boxes for a user to enter data into and then submit the form to the receiver.

Here are a few common uses for a web-form.

• Straight forward contact-us facility.
• Product ordering.

• Duplicating any paper-based form.

Now generally the creation of a useful webform requires a good understanding of HTML and HTML form elements. Any modern HTML editor with include the ability to create a web form, however the creation of the form is only half of the equation, this is where our Send-Mail service comes into play.

Once you have a web form you will need to modify it to successfully use the send-mail facilities that your website host provides. As you may know, not all website hosts offer the same services, and like-wise not all send mail services are created equal.

   1. Our solution hides the email addresses used so website spiders cannot crawl your website and harvest those email addresses (a very common cause of spam email).

   1. Never miss a message from your website because of 'email problems', our webform solution records and tracks each email message. It will send a warning message if an email has not been opened within 24 hours of receiving it (from the webform).
3. Take credit card orders requiring encrypted data.
   1. Selected form fields can be encrypted at the server and this encrypted text (not the plain text) is then sent in the response email. A link within the response email will post the encrypted text back to a secure server where you use a password to de-code the text. This means at no time is the information stored or transported in an en-secure way, perfect for taking credit card details.
4. Safe, secure and private.
   1. Choose either HTTP or the secure HTTPS proticol, allowing access from all websites including secure sites.
      If the response email message is for example an online order than it will contain sensitive information such as contact details or credit card numbers. In this case HTTPS is required as very few website users will enter their credit card details into a webform that is not secure, i.e. displaying a padlock in the bottom-right corner of the browser window.
      Note: collecting credit card details will require a secure proticol and we also require all credit card numbers to be encrypted, this ensures there are no credit card numbers stored on our webserver(s) and provides peace of mind for the website owner - it just works.
5. Create professional response messages.
   1. Options for a Plain Text and/or a HTML formated response email.
   2. Use the built in response template or create a custom one.
   3. Custom templates allow total flexibility in the resulting email.
6. Various processing options are available.
